Keith Hiatt, CPA, AEP, CAP

Keith is a native of Winston-Salem, N.C. and is a partner with the firm. He has over 40 years of experience in the areas of corporate and individual taxation, with a special emphasis on tax, estate, retirement and financial planning for individuals and owners of closely held businesses.

Keith has a passion for helping individuals and businesses save taxes. He emphasizes the need for tax planning before tax preparation. He assists clients with an “annual financial checkup” as a critical step to
stronger financial health.

His experience also includes assisting foreign nationals working in the U.S. and U.S. citizens working overseas. Much of this international experience began with his employment with Deloitte, a large international accounting firm where he was employed for 11 years.

Keith is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Greensboro Estate Planning Council and the Greensboro Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He has served as president of the two latter organizations. He has attained the Accredited Estate Planner designation (AEP) from the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation (CAP)
from the American College of Financial Services.

Keith received his Bachelors of Science and Masters in Accountancy degrees from Brigham Young University.

Keith is involved in the community. He is a graduate of Leadership Greensboro, and his Leadership Greensboro study group helped start HealthServe Inc. – an organization devoted to providing health care to the poor and needy. He is a past board member and Treasurer of the Greensboro Urban Ministry. He continues to be regularly involved with his church. He serves on the board of Mustard Seed Community Health, a community health clinic providing care for those in need.
