Chris is a native to the great city of Greensboro, NC where he graduated from Grimsley in 2006. He attended Appalachian State University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting. While Chris has always exceled in his courses, he did not discover his passion for accounting until he began preparing tax returns for low-income individuals through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program during his final two years at Appalachian State.

Chris began working at Breslow Starling in 2012 first as an accounting intern before transitioning to full-time later in the year. Chris prides himself on availability and building lasting relationships with his clients, stating, “Seeing and understanding your client’s business is the greatest path to helping them succeed.” He is experienced in individual, fiduciary, not-for-profit and corporate tax and has represented numerous clients before the IRS on various tax and compliance issues. Chris is also experienced in attestation engagements with a focus on inventory audits, financial statement preparation and agreed-upon procedures.

When he’s not accounting, Chris loves nothing more than sitting down with a group of family and friends to enjoy a board game and the perfect mixed drink.
